Photography field trip

My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I'm a big advocate of taking a "fun" class every semester along with the normal course load. This semester it was nature photography, and it has got to be one of the best classes I’ve ever taken. Only thirteen kids, a fantastic professor and hilarious TA, and lots of adventures. We took a weekend trip to Moab back in March to help us put together everything we had learned during the semester. It was sweet. We camped in Canyonlands National Park and skipped between Dead Horse State Park, Arches National Park, and Canyonlands. Those places are pure soul food, my friends. I was riding that high for weeks. It was two days of hiking, busting our guts laughing, making inside jokes, quoting movies, singing along to Coldplay, eating the 8-dozen chocolate chip cookies we all brought, sleeping in tents, and becoming one big huge group of friends who love to shoot. Definitely a highlight of my semester.
